Monday Morning

Good morning to you all, it is lovely outside the sun is shining and the day is bright .

We lost a hour yesterday, I hope you remembered to put your clocks forward ! I did thank goodness. I can remember a time when my sister Kay and I went to church and two friends of ours arrived as the service was finishing - yes they had forgotten to put their clocks forward, we laughed so much about that !!

Karen and Nick collected Charlotte's german pen pal yesterday from the school, her name is Leih and she is the same age as Charlotte 13, they have been talking to each other on MSN along with a friend of Leih's. I am going out with the family tonight for a meal so I will be able to meet Leih.

I hope to pop round to a friends later today to have a chat and a cup of tea.

Good afternoon, I hope you are having a good weekend.

I have had a busy few days, on Friday I had to take Mum to the hospital to get new hearing aids, she now has new ones, she was exhausted when we returned bless her.

Yesterday I was baby sitting as Karen and Nick had to go out to Cambridge and today I have Luke here for dinner.

Tonight I am hoping to have a relaxing evening.

This morning I am taking my Mum to the Hospital as she is being measured for a new hearing aid. then I have to go to Karen's to wait in for Charlotte's new bed to arrive.

Monday Evening

Good evening, I hope you have had a nice day.

I have been really busy today, I had to go to Karens this morning as they needed me to stay there and wait for the Gas man to come and sort out their boiler, they had no hot water and heating.

I have been doing washing and ironing and some washing for karen as well, tomorrow it will be Mums washing !

I am feeling tired this evening, so will bid you good nite, and trust you will have a peaceful nights sleep.

Good morning, Happy Mothers' Day to all you

Mums !!!!

It is a lovely morning the sun is already shining a beautiful day.

Luke and I are going to be busy today making bisuits and cakes for his school music concert fund, just got to get him up out of bed!!!

We are hoping to make peppermint squares, chocolate chip cookies and small sponge lemon cakes. If we have time we hope to make Lorraine a victoria sponge for Mothers' Day.

Saturday Afternoon

Good afternoon, its been a really lovely one today!!!

I have been busy today, I first went to the tip again then popped to Morrisons for a few items, then on to Mums with a Mothers' day card and a basket of flowers, she was thrilled with them bless her. I went on to a friends for a couple of hours and then went to Karens, where I was greeted with a lovely bouquet of flowers and chocolates and a big ballon with No 1 Mum on it!!! So lovely of them.

I came home and had a quick bit to eat and went in the garden to do a bit more, I feel as though I am winning now and it is looking so much better out there !!!

I have just picked up Luke, he is playing on his Xbox 360 as present and I have just put the dinner on. Tomorrow we are making biscuits and cakes for his music class to sell at school on Monday I just hope my oven will be OK as lately I have had trouble with it and my cakes have not risen in the middle.

Friday evening !!!

Good evening, its been a lovely day quite sunny and warm once the fog had lifted.

I managed to go out in the garden today and do some more weeding and tidying up, I feel like I am getting somewhere now !!!

I must go out tomorrow and get Mum a little present for Mothers' Day I have her card already. It is always a job to decide what to get Mum.

Thursday Evening

I hope you have had a good day. It has been really cold here on the east coast and quite windy too.

I have had the family to dinner tonight, thats Phil and Luke and Chloe, the children were very excitable and noisy. I must admit I was relieved when Phil took them home, they are such difficult children at times.

I am watching Wendy Richards story at the moment, she was such a brave lady.

Wednesday Evening

Good evening, it has been a lovely day, quite sunny and warm. I have managed to do a bit more out in the garden and I went to the tip with the garden rubbish. I still have more garden rubbish to take to the tip and am still clearing up the weeds and cutting back the shrubs etc.

I went to see Mum and she had a shower this morning which was great as she had been missed out on Friday last week and Monday this week. Things don't seem to be very organized at all.

Monday Evening

Good evening, its been a really lovely day today and I have managed to get out in the garden again,unfortunately I was going to mow the lawn but when I got the mower out it wouldn't start, so at the moment I have put it on a battery charger. I am hoping it will work tomorrow.

Yesterday we had a death in the family, quite a shock as only the previous day we were told that they were slowly improving, my thoughts and prayers are with the immediate family .

I am baby sitting tonight so I will wish you a lovely evening and a peaceful nights sleep.

Saturday Morning

Good morning, well it looks like it might be a nice day today, so if it is I am hoping to go out in the garden and do a bit more gardening!

I did really well yesterday afternoon and got quite a lot done in the back garden, it is surprising how much garden rubbish you get, I have put it in the garage at the moment and once I have collected some more will take it up the tip, the men in the yard know me quite well and always make a comment to me , like " what you again"!! They are very helpful to me.

I am not sure what else I am doing but sure I will find more jobs to do!!!

Friday Evening

Good evening, today has been a lovely sunny day and I have managed to get out in the garden and do a bit of tidying up and even digging! I hope it will be nice tomorrow so I can do a bit more.

I popped in to Mum's to see how she was, but unfortunately her carer hadn't been she was suppose to come about 8 am and I went to see her about 10.30am she still hadn't arrived so Mum was really cross, sitting waiting in her dressing gown. I believe the care people had telephoned her and said her carer was helping her neighbour and would come as soon as she could.

Its the weekend and I wish everyone a lovely enjoyable weekend.

Thursday Morning

Good morning, its Thursday already the week is going very quickly, it is a bit dull outside but not too cold.

Today I am expecting a company called Grasshoppers who come quarterly each year to treat the lawn with a fertiliser and weed killer, when I first moved into the bungalow the lawn was full of weeds but now it looks really good .

I have a few household jobs to do before I go out and then I hope to visit my Mum and some friends as tomorrow I might be needed by Karen for looking after the children Charlotte and Thomas.

Wednesday Evening

Good evening, Its been another busy day.

I took Mum's washing and shopping to her this morning and then went on to do my shopping.

I boiled a gammon joint ready for dinner as I had Phil, Luke and Chloe coming for dinner. We all enjoyed it and had a nice time together.

I am now just relaxing and watching a bit of TV. I wish you a good evening.

Tuesday Evening

Good evening I hope you have had a good day. it has been quite nice here the wind which we had yesterday has disappeared and its been a dry day.

I did Mum's housework for her this morning, changing her bed and bringing the washing back to mine, I have just finished her ironing.

I had a bad night I didn't sleep very well at all and this afternoon after lunch I was reading and must have fallen asleep for a short while, it did make me feel better so it must have done me so good.

I popped into see Sally and Jean for a short while, we had a nice cup of tea together catching up on our news and having a bit of a laugh. It was lovely to see Jean smiling, something she doesn't do very often as she is constantly in pain bless her.

Monday Morning

Good morning, it is a lovely morning here on the East coast,

although I think it is probably cold outside.

Yesterday I managed to clean the car inside and outside and then it rained !!! I also cleaned my oven a job I hate doing, but it does look better now.

Today I hope to make a Lasagna for Karen and family and some chocolate sponge cakes for Charlotte and Thomas, they usually like them.

I hope to take some garden rubbish to the local tip, I have at least six bags I left it until today as it is usually very busy at the weekends.

It is my niece's birthday today, Happy birthday Rachel. Rachel lives in Auckland, New Zealand with her husband James and three young children. Have a lovely day!!!!

Sunday Morning

Good morning, it is a sunny day outside but I believe rain in forecasted for later.

I managed to get a few more primroses to go in my pots for the front garden, it is looking much more colourful now.

Yesterday afternoon I had another person come round to give me an estimate for a new conservatory so now I will get three quotations I hope to receive these some time next week. Then I can decide what to do.

Karen took Charlotte to see the Sugababes at St. Osyth last night, I haven't heard how they got on I will let you know!!

Thomas had a golf lesson yesterday and is getting along quite well, he seems to enjoy it. He was very lucky as some one has given him a set of childrens golf clubs, just the right size!!

Luke had a nice birthday and had a friend to stay overnight, he was very fortunate as he had some lovely presents plus money, Lorraine took him out yesterday morning and he bought a new game for his Xbox. Phil didn't get home from work until about quarter to seven but hopefully he had a nice evening. Lorraine was cooking the boys their favourite meal a mexican so I am sure they enjoyed that!!

Saturday Morning

Good morning, its a bit dull today and I am not sure what the weather forecast for our region is for today.

Today it is the boys birthdays, Phil my son is 38 and Luke my grand son is 15 !!! Poor Phil has to work today and says he has a lot of work for today, he was hoping to get away earlier but I'm not sure whether it will be possible.

I bought some lovely primroses yesterday and was able to put them in the pots that I have in the front garden making it a nice and colourful. I hope to get a few more to make a plentiful show, hoping the frost doesn't kill them off!

I have sowed a few tomatoe seeds in pots and have put them in the conservatory, just waiting to see if anything happens!!!

Friday Morning

Good morning, it is a lovely sunny day again.

I am up early this morning wanting to get on with some jobs and hoping to go into the garden later and do a bit more.

Yesterday I managed do some more cutting back on the shrubs etc, there is so much to do and the ground is still very wet, the grass wants cutting but is very wet. I have the grass treated four times a year and next week they are coming to give it the usual treatment ready for the summer.

Phil and Chloe came to dinner last night and enjoyed the gammon joint and roast potatoes and vegetables , I must admit it was tasty!!

Tomorrow it is Phil and Luke's birthday, Luke will be fifteen I can't believe it where does the time go, unfortunately Phil has to work but I am sure he will try and get home a bit earlier if he can.

I need a new conservatory, the one I have is leaking badly and I have had quite a few people round but they have never been able to cure it also the wood is rotten beyond repair so I am getting a few quotations in, I have had two people round and the third one hopefully will come tomorrow, once I have received all the quotations I will then decide what to do, another expense I can do without!!!

Good Mornning

Good morning, well its a lovely morning here, the sun is already shining and it really looks a lovely day.

I am cooking a Gammon joint at the moment ready for tonights dinner as I have Phil and Chloe coming to dinner, Luke is otherwise engaged this week.

I am hoping to get out in the garden today and do a bit more tidying up. I have a big garden and since I have lived here I have tried to make it a bit easier for myself but it still takes a lot of time each week. I do love going outside but as I have had a really bad back for about the last six weeks I have to be rather careful and mustn' do to much in any one time.

Good evening, I hope you have had a good day. This afternoon turned out to be quite nice and I was hoping to get out in the garden again but that didn't happen I'm afraid.

I suddenly had an idea to change my bedroom round a bit, so I was doing that, I am pleased with the end result so it is a good job done.

Tuesday Morning

Good morning to you all, its quite a nice day here on the East Coast, although I believe this afternoon it might rain and be windy.

Yesterday I managed to get out in the garden and do quite a bit of tidying up and cutting back of shrubs etc so I am pleased with that but still have loads to do.

Last night I went round to see Luke to find out all about Sunday night's trip to London to see the Rock Concert. Apparently there were two coaches, one got to the destination on time but the second coach broke down four times and also the driver didn't know the exact route and they landed up going round and round in circles in London they arrived to see only six songs - needless to say Luke was on that coach !!! What a shame but he did get a CD and was pleased with what he saw.

Monday Morning

Good morning, the start of another week !

I managed to see Karen and family and Phil and Lorraine and family last night, then came home to watch a bit of TV.

I heard this morning that apparently there was some trouble with one of the coaches that took the teenagers from school to the Rock Concert in London last night and we are not sure whether they all made it - I do hope they did as they were all so excited and had been looking forward to it for weeks, the girls looked lovely in their gear, black leggings and very smart black pleated skirts and black boots etc !

At this moment in time I am not sure which coach Luke was on, hopefully will hear later today - I will let you know.

In the meanwhile have a lovely day.

Sunday Morning

Good morning, it a bright day outside but not quite good enough for me to go out in the garden and do any tidying up!

I am hoping to have a relaxing day today, but first I must make a start on the roast dinner!

I will take Luke to school this afternoon as he has to be there by 5.15pm ready to catch the school coach to go to London to see this Rock Concert.

Once I have done that I hope to pop in and see Karen and family and also Phil and Lorraine.

I would like to see the Dancing on Ice tonight if I can get back in time and I also like to watch Wild at Heart.
