New Years Eve

Its New Years Eve, nearly year 2009.

As we get older the years seem to past by very quickly don't they. I look back at this year 2008 and remember those loved ones and friends who have past on this year, sadly there have been quite a few, especially where my Mum lives in her retirement home.

We celebrate their lives and will not forget them.

Monday after Christmas

I hope that you had an enjoyable and relaxing Christmas.

Today it is very cold and dull, but at least its not raining.

I popped out this morning into town, Woolworth's looked so bleak and empty, it is so sad I think we will all miss this store. I feel so sorry for all those folk that worked there, in our local store a few of the staff were there obviously clearing up the last bits.

I am wondering what to do about a X Box 360 game that I bought at Woolworths for my grand son Luke that doesn't work, although I have the receipt it was paid in cash, if I had used a Visa Card I think I would have a better chance of a refund, I am not holding out much hope on that one!

Tuesday Afternoon

Only one more day to go and it will be Christmas, so I will wish everyone a very Happy and Peaceful Christmas.

Enjoy the time with your family and friends and lets not forget those that are not as fortunate as ourselves, especially those folk who have recently lost their jobs through the economic downturn that has hit us worldwide.

Lets hope that the year 2009 will bring better times for us all. God bless you all.

Monday Afternoon

I have been to Mum's this morning to do her housework for her, and have brought back her washing to do. She seemed fine and we had a little chat whilst I was dusting round the flat.

I then popped into the local Tescos it was really busy in there, I couldn't believe how much everyone was buying the trolleys were overflowing and it seemed like they were buying everything in sight !

I popped into Karen's and her little Tom was quite bright and cheerful much better now he has his medicine, bless him.

Luke seems fine now too, and it back here with me, watching the TV at the moment!

I haven't heard how Lorraine is today I am just hoping she is feeling a bit better and has made an appointment to see her doctor before the christmas break.

I am just doing Mum's washing at the moment, once it is dry I will iron it and hopefully have it ready for tomorrow morning.

My old boss Steve paid me a visit bringing me a beautiful basket of flowers they are lovely, aren't I a lucky girl!

Sunday Evening

Its Sunday evening and things are a little calmer now.

Luke is much better and has gone to see his Mum and his two baby brothers and to stay overnight.

Tom is now on three lots of medicine and both Karen and Tom had a good nights sleep, thank goodness.

Poor Lorraine looks awful with her eyes bruised and swollen and black, one eye is worse than the other, she has blurred vision in one and a headache and is very sore where she had the butterfly stitches also she thinks she might have broken her nose which is also swollen. We are all trying to persuade her to go to the doctors.

Phil has his day off tomorrow so he will be able to help her as she hasn't finished all her christmas shopping and also the food shopping.

I am now relaxing, watching a bit of TV so wish you a good evening and restful night.

Saturday Evening

Its been a bit of an awful 24 hours.

Firstly Luke was not feeling too good last night and hardly had an sleep until about 6am this morning.

Then my daughter Karen texted me to tell me that she had been up all night with her son Thomas, she thinks he has an ear infection. she phoned health call and they were extremely business and couldn't get back to her for at least an hour, they made her an appointment for Thomas to go to the local hospital at 5pm this evening. Yes he has a bad ear infection and has 3 lots of medicine to take, lets hope he has a better nights sleep.

I then had a phone call from my son Phil's partner Lorraine. She got up in the night to go to the bathroom and passed out knocking her head. She awoke feeling wet on her face and managed to crawl back to the bedroom to wake Phil up, he was shocked to see her face covered in blood. He cleaned her face up as best as possible, but she has a deep cut in the middle of her eye brows. Her Mum and Dad had to take her to the local hospital this morning, to have butterfly stitches to sew the cut together. She was told to take it easy, so I am keeping Luke here another night to help them out. Lorraine hasn't been feeling well for quite some time and her health is quite worrying. She was a bit upset as the nurses kept answering her Mum whether she was a drinker, I think they probably thought she had been drinking the night before, she hadn't had a drink and doesn't drink much at all!

I will keep you posted as how everyone is progressing.

I pray for all who are suffering and not feeling well at present, I hope they will soon feel on top of the world.

Friday Evening

I managed to get a bit of shopping this morning along with some medicine for Luke which he has been taking. He didn't seem so bad when he awoke this morning, which was good.

He doesn't seem to have lost his appetite as he ate all his dinner tonight, we had roast chicken and roast potatoes with vegetables, very nice!!

Friday Morning

Good morning, it is a bright sunny day, and looks nice from inside our warm homes!

I have my grand son Luke staying with me, the children have broken up from school and looking forward to Christmas. Luke started to go down with a bad cold last night, I just hope I will be OK as I am only just feeling better from one I had for over a fortnight.

He is still in bed and I am going to leave him there and hope he might feel a bit better when he wakes up. I will go to the chemists later to see what medicine I can get to help him.

I will also pop into my Mum's and check on her. Then I have to do a bit of food shopping for the weekend.

Wednesday Evening

Good evening, today has been an OK day. I have managed to get the last of the christmas presents and I have wrapped them as well !!

I went to Mum's this morning with her ironing and shopping, she was in the hairdressers having her usual shampoo and set, so whilst she was there, I made her bed, put the ironing and the shopping away for her.

I popped in to see Phil and Lorraine for a short while and then on to my friends Sally and Jean to see how they were and to have a cup of tea and a chat.

I am going to do a bit of letter writing this evening as I have received a couple of christmas cards with letters in them so I must reply to them with news of the family.

I have been busy this evening doing all Mum's ironing and my own, glad to say that I have just finished thank goodness.

I have just a few more presents to wrap up and then I can say I have finished the present buying and now can concentrate on buying the christmas food.

Tuesday Afternoon

Its been quite a cold day fortunately no rain! Its dull but not windy which is good, I hate it when its windy, everything seems to rattle and shake.

I have been to my Mum's to do her housework this morning and then went straight to Tescos to get her shopping . Whilst I was there a lady looked at me saying "its Carole isn't it!"
It was an old neighbour of mine who I hadn't seen in years, she was now wearing glasses so at first I didn't recognize her. We had quite a long chat catching up on some of our news, it was strange hearing about each others children and hearing that they are now married with children of their own, I'm afraid we were showing our ages!!! Hopefully we will now keep in touch.

Also this afternoon I had a Email from an old school friend, it was so lovely to hear from her, now we can keep in touch with each other too, we are going to try and track down two old school friends of ours ,I think we have a job on our hands as I have tried before with no luck, but it would be so good if we are successful!!!

Monday Evening

I have had quite a good afternoon, I went out for a short while and I think the fresh air has helped me to feel a lot better, I am hoping that I am on the mend, thank goodness as I have had this cold and cough for well over a week and it was beginning to get me down, but I must say that today I do feel a much better.

I am going to wrap up a few more presents and then going to relax and watch a bit of TV.

Good Afternoon

Its Monday afternoon, and it's dry and dull outside, at least its not raining !!! I think its not quite so cold as it has been.

This morning I managed to go to Mums just to see how she was, I had to water a new plant she had for her birthday, it was in a clear covered container and was a bit of a maze to work out how to open it up to water it, but after trying a few things success was made so the plant got it much needed drink!

My lady came this morning to trim my hair so that has made me feel better, then once she had gone and I had washed and dried my hair, I made a Shepherds Pie for Karen's family.

I have to go out again this afternoon, hopefully for a short while.

Good evening to all, I have had a quiet Sunday, I haven't been out at all, I am trying desperately to get rid of this cold and cough, its beginning to get on my nerves, as I have had it over a week now, hopefully I should be feeling better soon.

I have kept in touch with family and friends by phone and texts. My poor friend Sally's phone was out of order this morning but fortunately talk talk were able to get her back on line after a few hours. Sally's Mum had a bad fall last night so she needed to know that she could use the phone in any emergency that might have arisen.

I wish Sally's Mum well and will be praying for you both.

Good Afternoon

This is my grand daughter Charlotte who had her 13th birthday party last night. ( her birthday is on Christmas Eve so she had her party early)

I wasn't able to go as I wasn't feeling too good and didn't want to make myself worse, but Karen has Emailed me a few photos of the evening.

The guests dressed as celebrities. They had a golden curtain to walk through and a red carpet to walk down. Flash photography, gold goodie bags and the chance to win an Oscar at the end of the night.

I will post some more photos on the opposite of this blog.

I believe they had a lovely time with a disco etc. All the girls looked lovely and so grown up, Charlotte went as Audrey Hepburn and Thomas was Bond 007 !!!

Good Afternoon

The weekend has arrived but to awful weather, its really cold and raining intermittently not very nice at all.

I haven't ventured out at all today, I have been doing my housework and also finishing off the last bits of the Christmas tree decorations etc, it is looking a lot more festive now.

My grand daughter, Charlotte is having an early birthday party tonight (her birthday is Christmas Eve she will be thirteen) at the local baptist church hall. The theme being The Oscars, they all have to dress up as famous people, there will be a red carpet etc all very exciting.

I am hoping to go but it depends on how I feel as I have been having some sleepless nights due to my bad cough, and don't want to go down with anything else. perhaps I should stay in the warm!! I will decide later.

Friday Evening

Its the weekend , lets hope we have a nice one.

I have been having trouble this afternoon with my lap top. I have this feeling that I have a virus I couldn't get online it kept being blocked its taken me ages to get back on line. I tried to get onto my friends blog but couldn't and have only just got onto mine, so thought I had better make an entry now in case I can't get onto it again.

If I have any more trouble I will have to take it to the computer shop. I will let ou know how I get on.

Friday Afternoon

Well the weekend is nearly here, much to the delight of those that have to work. My daughter Karen is always pleased when the weekend arrives.

This morning was extremely frosty and icy outside, I couldn't believe how white it was everwhere looked really lovely. Fortunately
it soon cleared and I ventured out mid morning to see what bargains I could get in Woolworths - the answer to that is Nothing. They had 10% and 20% on some items but I couldn't see anything that I wanted and it was busy in there, I can't be doing with the crowds anymore.

Over the weekend I hope to get the tree up and decorated all being well.

I have just spoken to Karen and she tells me that today she has passed part of her assessment towards her NVQ grade 4. I am so pleased for her she is working so very hard for this, I am really proud of her. Well done Karen !!!

Thursday Evening

Today I have managed to go shopping for my Mum and myself, only to Tescos which isn't far away. Actually it wasn't very busy in there, I think that perhaps folk had gone to town to see what bargains they could get in Woolworths!

I took Mums shopping and ironing to her and came straight home. I am feeling better but have a really nasty cough so wanted to get home in the warm.

My son Phil and his two children Luke and Chloe came to dinner tonight, I had cooked Gammon bacon for dinner and all plates were clear when we finished, the children were both really hungry tonight.

I still havn't put up my christmas tree so I must try and do that in the next couple of days.

Wednesday Evening

Well I have felt a bit better today, I have managed to get my Mum's ironing done and also a bit of my own. The only thing is I have now got a cough, I must get some cough medicine.

I have stayed in the warm and haven't ventured outside at all . I cooked myself some dinner which I enjoyed and had a light tea.

I am going to watch TV tonight and just relax so

Wenesday Morning

Good morning to all, I have a really bad cold and yesterday felt very poorly, I was so cold my hands and feet were like ice even though the heating was on, I didn't even go on line which is unusual for me!

I am going to take it easy today and just try and keep in the warm with hot cups of tea. Yesterday I just couldn't be bothered to make myself any dinner infact I lay on the settee all afternoon and evening, very lazy and not like me at all.

Sunday Evening

It has been a lovely day here on the east coast, the sun has been out, melting the ice on the roads.

It is Mum's 98th birthday today so as arranged I went to collect by daughter Karen and her children Charlotte and Tom, Mum didn't know they were coming to visit her, so it was a lovely surprise for her to see them.

When we arrived at Mum's flat, one of the residents had put a big Happy Birthday label on her front door and a note we can't wait for the year 2010 when you will be 100!!!!

Phil and Lorraine had been round to see her earlier with a beautiful pink orchid in a pot which she was delighted with.

Mum has 52 birthday cards so far amazing !!!!

My sister Kay and husband Dave telephoned Mum early this morning singing "happy birthday" down the phone which tickled her.

I am sure she has had a lovely day.

Saturday Evening

Hello to all, I have been busy this morning doing the housework and general duties roiund the house. Once they were all done I went out to Tescos for a bit of shopping.

When I returned, I had some lunch then made some cakes, butterfly cakes and peppermint chocolate squares for the family.

I have a sore throat I think I might be going down with a cold, I am sucking some blackcurrant & glycerin pastilles in the hope the sore throat will go.

I am going to take it easy tonight just watching the television etc.

Friday Evening

The weekend is arriving, this Sunday it is Mum's 98 birthday I think she is quite excited, she will spend it quietly she can't stand too much excitement.

I have been busy getting the last few presents, I think I have finished and have actually wrapped them all up! I am so pleased that job is done.

This evening I watched the last 'I'm a Celebrity - Get me out of Here' - the winner being Joe, a well deserved winner. The last three were all really good, I would think it was a close call as to who would be the winner.

Lighting the Town Up for Christmas !

Its been a busy day, I have had Luke and Chloe here for Dinner and then we went to the town as it was the late night shopping and switching on the lights for christmas.

It was really cold and very very busy and crowded with folk , not my scene at all, but we did manage to wait till the lights went on.

I was pleased to get home and quickly made a hot cup of tea to warm myself up.

I'm now going to relax and watch a bit of television so will say nite nite for today.

Wednesday afternoon

When I got up this morning and opened the curtains, it was quite a white scene, it was very icy everywhere and the roads were dangerous. The weather forecaster on the radio was saying that all drivers should take extra care as it was so icy.

By the middle of the morning it was warmer and the ice was gradually disappearing. I managed to go to my Mum's with her shopping and ironing she was OK but feeling very cold.

I popped into town and got a couple more presents, so I am gradually getting there with the Christmas presents.

Tonight I am going with my daughter Karen and her friend Sharon to see a performance of ' Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' my grand daughter Charlotte is in it . I will let you know how it goes.

My headache is a bit better and I am hoping that a good nights sleep will help.

Monday Afternoon

Good afternoon , I hope you are all feeling well.

I woke up this morning with a really bad headache which I still have, even though I have taken some pain killers.

I made a Shepherds Pie for Karen and her family which is for dinner tonight. Then went to see my Mum , she was OK but said she was full of aches and pains. I noticed that on her sideboard were a number of unopened birthday cards, her birthday is on Sunday and she will be 98, bless her.

I am expecting my friend Sarah tonight, all being well, we will be catching up on all our news.

I managed to visit Karen and the family this afternoon and catch up on their weeks happenings. Charlotte has had rehearsals for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory which they are performing on Tuesday and Wednesday night, so I am hoping to go and see it on the Wednesday evening.

I came straight home to get in the warm, it seemed quite cold and damp outside all day, so I was pleased to get home.

I have just watched the nightly I'm a Celebrity Get me out of here, two people went, first it was Timmy, I was really pleased about that he is so annoying, then Esther the peace maker I think she was going at the right time.

Sunday Morning - Just !!!

Good morning to you all, I am a bit late this morning as I have been doing my housework, Its done so I am pleased about that, I am not a lover of housework I'm afraid but its a nice feeling when its completed.

Its a bit cold today but at least its not raining. I might pop out later to visit my daughter Karen and her family as I haven't seen them all week, we all seem to be so busy at present.

Relaxing on Saturday Evening.

Its turned quite cold, so apart from taking Luke to his Mums, I haven't been out today, infact I have been a bit lazy.

I have been relaxing watching the X Factor I was so surprised that Ruth is out, I thought she was amazing and there were others that should have gone, but hey thats how it works.

The X Factor was followed by I'm a Celebrity - Get me out of here, that was interesting too.

The Weekend is here !!!

Its the weekend and a nice morning, the sun is out and its not too cold today.

I have Luke my grand son here at present, he will be going round to see his Mum and little brothers later today.

The days seem to go by so quickly at the moment, I suppose its because this time of the year we are all so busy trying to get Christmas presents etc. I have to buy Mum's presents for the family as she can't go out, as well as my own. I have managed to get hers so that's really good as I can now concentrate on the presents I need to get for the family.

I have done a bit more christmas shopping, I seemed to go everywhere today but didn't get much especially as I went out twice.

When driving home late this afternoon I noticed that a few people have already put up their outside christmas lights, one house had them all over the front of the house it must take them ages to put them up.

I have just finished my ironing and am now watching the nightly I'm a Celebrity - Get Me Out of Here.

A Busy Wednesday !

Good evening, its been another busy day.

This morning I had to go to the Chemists to pickup my repeat prescriptions, so whilst I was there,I went into the local Somerfield looking for

a bottle of Baileys that my Mum wanted for her birthday which is drawing near.

In the retirement flats where she lives they have a main lounge, twice a week they play bingo and those that attend (including my Mum) always have a little drink and some cakes when it is one of their birthdays.

I then went into town still looking for the Baileys plus getting a few Christmas presents.

I managed to get the Baileys in Morrisons and I was able to get a few Christmas presents for Mum too, so when I eventually got to Mums I looked like a pack horse carrying her ordinary shopping and her ironing plus all the rest. She was really pleased with what I have managed to get so that was good.

This evening I picked my grand daughter Chloe up so she could go on my lap top and do her school project on Princess Diana, my friend Sally E'mailed me some lovely pictures ( including one above) which was really helpful, Chloe was well pleased, also I had picked my grand son Tom up from school, so they both had dinner with me.

I have just seen the first eviction on I'm a Celebrity - Get me out of here - Robert Kilroy Silk although he was disappointed to be the first one evicted he was pleased to see his wife! Who will be the next I wonder?

Well I must get ready for bed, I wish you all good night , sleep well .

Late Tuesday Evening

This evening I have been doing Mum's ironing for her, I will take it tomorrow to her along with the shopping she wanted.

When I arrived at Mum's this morning she was very grumpy, I don't think I could do or say anything without a grumpy answer, poor Mum life must be very boring for her !! She hasn't been outside her flat for at least two or three years, apart from when I have had to take her to hospital.

I went round to my friend Sally's this afternoon to have a computer lesson, it was lovely to have a laugh and joke and of course learn some more about the computer, Sally has been using her Computer for some years and is very knowledgeable, thank you Sally.

I am quite tired now so it won't be long before I retire to my bed. I wish everyone a good nights sleep.

Its been a really windy, rainy morning which eventually stopped in the early afternoon.

I managed to pop out when it had stopped to go to my daughter's with a Shepherds Pie I had cooked for her family, tonights dinner!

I then went on to Phil's to see how Lorraine was, she is still not well and is waiting to hear from the hospital. I took some homemade cakes with me, the teenages like to eat them when they come home from school, always hungry.

Tonight Phil, Luke and Chloe came to dinner, we had boiled gammon, roast potatoes, yorkshire puddings etc, which they enjoyed. Afterwards I was trying to help Chloe with her project on Princess Diana, we managed to get some information and some lovely pictures from the internet, so she has be able to make a start.

I am taking it easy now, trying a few things out on my lap top, I wish you all a good night.

A cold rainy day !!!!

Its Sunday afternoon, and I will not be venturing out again today! I had to go out this morning to pick my grand son Luke up from his Mums, it was really cold and wet, the rain was awful and the car kept steaming up with our hot breath!

We came straight home, Luke had a music project to complete, which thankfully he has finished, and I started on the sunday roast, which we enjoyed.

The new carpet in the bedroom is now laid and I managed to get all the furniture back in the room except for the TV. My son Phil popped round after dinner and put the TV back in the bedroom for me so everything is back to normal. Phil and Luke returned home leaving me to finish the cakes that I was making for them. They will pick them up tomorrow when they came to dinner with Chloe.

I am now going to have the rest of the day relaxing and going on the lap top.

The weather forecast doesn't sound too good, it looks like we will be getting snow. lets see if we do it is suppose to come I believe on Saturday night and Sunday morning.

I am hoping the carpet people will come to lay the new carpet early afternoon so that I can start getting the furniture back in the bedroom and get the rest of the bungalow looking neat and tidy!!!

The second bedroom is completely empty ready for the new carpet to be laid tomorrow afternoon. Phil came round this morning, to help me with the TV and to take up the old carpet. Lorraine came as well but she didn't look at all well, she is now waiting to hear from the hospital.

I went to town this morning to make a start on my christmas shopping, I am quite pleased with myself as I managed to get a few bargains, three for the price of two etc.

It was busy in town, everyone in a hurry carrying loads of bags etc, I didn't seem to see much of the credit crunch!

I have just watched the nightly 'I'm a Celebrity - Get me out of here' I find it so amusing !

Good evening everyone, well its been a really busy day.

My car has had its service and I was able to pick it up by about 12.30pm ample time for me to pick up Tom this afternoon from school.

I had to take Tom with me to my son Phil's as he wanted me to stay with the four teenages whilst he went to see her partner Lorraine in hospital, so I cooked dinner with the help of Lucy. We had chicken, roast potatoes, yorkshire puddings etc.It was yummy!!!!

Phil brought Lorraine home tonight , her scan didn't show anything untoward so she will have to have more tests. She looks ill and washed out poor girl.

I have just come home and have settled down to watch 'I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here' . Well done to Silky what horrible tasks he had to do !!!! Bet Timmy will be next laughing like that at poor Silky.

Good morning, the weather doesn't look too bad outside today.

I have already been out taking my car into the garage for its service. My elderly neighbour George followed me there so he could bring me home, very kind of him .

I have the blood test this morning so will have to catch a bus, something I haven't done for ages !

I just hope I get the car back in time for me to pick up my grand son Tom from school this afternoon!

My son Phil's partner Lorraine was taken into hospital last night with bad pains in her stomach, she has to have a scan this morning. So I am waiting to hear any news, it all seems to be happening at the moment!!

Its going to be a really busy day, I will be back tonight to let you know how things are going.

Its Tuesday, the day I usually go to my Mums. I had a bit of trouble with her this morning, I got greeted by " I've had such a horrible night, I have been up most of the night " etc she had a bad dream then couldn't get back to sleep and had to make herself a cup of tea, then sat reading for over an hour, she kept going over and over this nightmare, poor Mum.

My sister Kay phoned me yesterday to tell me she has a condition which is hereditary and that I will need to have a blood test to see if I have it, its called Haemochromatosis, apparently its a blood condition, where you have too much iron in the blood.

Poor Kay is not too well, for the last five weeks she has had to have a pint of blood taken away from her each week, her blood count was 600 and it has to get down to 50.

I will have to book an appointment with the doctor for a blood test. I will blog the progress of this.

It's been a cold day today, I had to put my heating on this afternoon as I felt so cold.

Its been a busy today, I had to pick Luke up this morning from his Mums then cooked dinner for Luke and myself.

He has a project to do for school, and likes to work with Microsoft 2003 as he likes the clip art on it. I havn't got that so have been trying out things on my lap top. (I need help Sal !!!) Its taken me ages but have had some success.

I took him back home and was informed that all the cakes I had made were gone and could they put another order in, the peppermint chocolate squares went down really well!

It's the weekend Hooray !!!!

Every one I am in contact with are so glad its the weekend. Folk at present seem to be having a hard time at work, lets hope the weekend helps to relax them and make them feel able to cope with work next week.

I am off to a surprise birthday party this evening. A neighbour of mine has arranged a party for her husband, he has no idea !!!!!

Its been another busy day, I have been baking a Victoria Sandwich and I had another go making Peppermint Chocolate Squares they were sucessful this time, hooray !!!! I have taken them to my son's and am sure that they won't be about for long.

Luke has come to stay for the night, but is hoping to go to his Mum's tomorrow to see his little brothers Lewis and Tyler.

I have just finished the ironing and am sitting watching Children in Need.

Good morning , the sun is shining and it looks like its going to be a nice day, hopefully I might be able to get out in the garden to do a bit more clearing up. I still have some flowers that are out in bloom amazing for the time of year .

I had a nice day yesterday, didn't do anything in the bungalow ! I had a lovely time in the morning with my friends Sally and Jean, I had a bit of lunch with them and then went on to check on Mum, then on to pick up my grand son Thomas from school.

In the evening I went to visit some friends of mine and we had a lovely time .

Today I must try and get some jobs done.

Good evening, it been quite a nice day, I managed to visit my Mum with her shopping and ironing.

This is my dear Mum she will be 98 years old on the 7th December, she is wonderful for her age although she has her aches and pains but keeps cheerful, bless her.

I also managed to see my dear friend Sally and her elderly Mum Jean, we were able to have a good chat and catch up on each others news.

This afternoon I did the housework, so thats a good job done.

Now I am relaxing and catching up on the computer.

Today is Wednesday, I call it the middle of the week and the weather is looking a lot better ! The sun is just coming out which is lovely to see, it makes us feel warmer.

I was really busy yesterday, on the go all day. I hope to have a quieter day today.

I have to take my Mum's shopping to her plus her ironing and then I am going on to see my friend Sally and her mum Jean to catch up on all our news.

Well its a very dark, dull and rainy Monday, not good at all.

I had to go out this morning and came home like a drowned rat, as it got wetter my the minute!

I have my son Phil and his two children Luke and Chloe coming for dinner tonight. so I have been cooking a Gammon joint, gosh it does smell nice, I know that everyone likes it especially if I do roast potatoes etc with it.

I have just been listening to the weather forecast its not good, so we must all take care, I think home is the best place at present.
