Today has been very foggy most of the day so I have not ventured outside at all.
I was busy this morning doing all the housework and some washing and ironing then this afternoon I made a fruit cake (for Phil ) and some chocolate chip cookies for the children.
Karen phoned me this evening to ask if I could stay at their home to let the Gas man in tomorrow as they have had no heating for three days! I only hope he can sort the problem out for them as it is so very cold at present.
I had arranged to see my friend Sarah tomorrow so I will have to cancel that, it is a shame as I have already cancelled once before, but I know she will understand.

I hope you get on okay with your house sitting Carole and that they get the heating fixed soon...it's so very cold out. The baking sounds great!
